Alliteration

We have been learning about alliteration.  We know that when the words start with the same sound it is alliteration.

Name Poems

We have been expressing ourselves through writing poetry. We have been writing name poems about ourselves or other people. We had to remember to follow the structure, use adjectives, put upper case letters at the start of the line and make it neat so people could read it.  It also had to make sense. 

Earthquake

Everything shaking
Amazing awesome cracks
Real earthquake not in my dreams
Terrifc my bed is tipping
Horrid shaking everywhere through town
Quake plates moving
Under table
Aftershock aftershakes

Chasing, bashing a roar of the wind
I hear the photos breaking
I smell air like nothing was wrong
I taste a gross taste like I was so shocked
I touch the shelfs and they are empty
I feel horrified

Learning Celebration We Are the World.

We had our Learning Celebration about the perfect world.  Here are some of the models we made.  We liked parents and caregivers coming in to see them.

Elephants

ELEPHANTS

There are two types’ elephants. The African and the Asian. There a few differences between them. The African elephant is grey and the Asian elephant is brown. Another difference is that the African elephant has bigger ears than the Asian elephant






Elephants like some sorts of food. For a treat they may eat some nuts like peanuts and walnuts. Elephants also eat lots of different kinds of leafs.






Elephants go into a herd so they can run away from predators together. If a baby elephant gets left there on its own no one is allowed to go back and get it. Male elephants fight to get a female elephant too breed.
