The earthquake.

Well it has certainly been an interesting week. The most important thing is that we are all safe and we you have in our thoughts and prayers. We are also thinking of  many other families at this sad time.

We will never be xcellent learners in Room 6,  ever again.  But we will still be xcellent learners in whatever classroom we will be in. I hope if you are learning in another classroom in some other part of New Zealand you are being xcellent learners and Freeville Flyers.  I know that you will be caring, communicating, critical thinkers, motivated, creative and globalists.  I am looking forward to hearing about all the things that you have been learning and doing.  For those not at another school I hope that you are being all these things at your homes and are especailly being caring towards one another.

Our lives will never be the same again.  But one thing for sure is that Freeville School and our community will still be a special place for us all.

I am an xcellent speaker

Ben presented this speech to the class with his mihi.  He looked at the audience. Wrote about himself. We could all hear him. Ben had thought about and prepared his speech.

Hi my name is Benjamin but my friends call me Ben. I am 8 years old. I am 9 in March.  I live with my Dad and my Mum.  I have a dog called Stella.  She is 6 years old.  Stella is a black lab cross. She loves to go for walks but I can't hold her because she's too strong for me.

I also have a pet pig. His name is Piggie.  He is four months old. We got him from a farm in Diamond Harbour. While we were there we saw his mum and dad.  If piggie grows up to be like his dad, he is going to be a big boy. 

My favourite things are riding my motor bike, BMX and my skate board. I also like to play with my romote control drifting car.  It is awesome.

My motorbike is a Suzuki, JR50.  I got it for my seventh birthday.  My BMX brand is ABD.  I got it for my fifth birthday.  My skateboard brand is KROOKED, I got if for Christmas two years ago.

I would like to play soccer next year for New Brighton club.

This year my goal is to get better at reading.

My Learning

Scooter Track

I went on the scooter track today, it was fun.   We went around the school.  Max fell over, he was brave. I took turns with Harry, Zander and Max.
