Fractions

We have been learning about fractions. We are learning that a whole can be divided into equal parts and then put back together again.  Parts can be joined to make a fraction less than one.  We need to be able to recognise a whole of an object, part of an object and equal parts and their names.  We have been using dough and making eels and pies.

Inquiry Learning

We want to be able to critically ask questions that lead to a better understanding of what we are learning.  We have been doing science experiments. We have been doing experiments to see how ice melts. We have learnt that kinetic energy is making the ice melt.  It melts faster on the outside.  When we put it in the shade it melted slower than when it was in the sun. Keely
