Earthquake

We have been learning about inferences, when we are doing our reading, and we like looking at the cartoons in the paper.  We have been looking at the ones about earthquakes and we know exactly what they mean because we can make connections with them and we have lots of prior knowledge about earthquakes. Making inferences helps us understand what we are reading. We also think that it is a good way for people to express themselves.
