You are all being such xcellent learners. I am so impressed. Toby wrote a really good recount, he remembered to write about something that had happened. He wrote it in the right order and he used those recount words like then. I also liked the way that he described the sand as being sticky. He used some other good describing words. Toby also used good sentences. His writing was really easy to understand. If Toby was writing it again he might like to use paragraphs. I thought that it was a really good recount of what happened when the earthquake did.
Pleased to see that you did some silent reading, I hope your teachers weren't being slack and drinking cups of tea and talking. Well done Toby winning bingo.
I hope you do some more writing on the blog about the earthquake and also to tell us what you are doing.
Today I spent all day walking around Travis Country. I had to be a really good Freeville Flyer communicator because I had to listen to what people were saying and I had to tell them about things that could help them.
The housing inspector, Stacy, I was with had to be a really critical thinker because he had to look at the houses and decide how safe the houses were to live in, it was really good that they all were. We were all being globalists because we were thinking of other people and the problems they were faced with. Kevin was with us, he had come all the way down from Waitakere which is in Auckland. He wasn't being paid to do this but he really cares about us even though he doesn't know any of us. Dale was with us yesterday and he had come over from Canberra in Australia to help us.
None of the people I were with had to come and help us at all. I think that they would be really caring Freeville Flyers if they went to our school. I have told them all about you and how well you are doing.
All of us are really motivated to get up early in the morning and tramp the streets to see how people are doing. Actually there are over 600 of us. Here is a photo of some of us. Tomorrow I will be out again with Stacy the building inspector. I really like my orange vis vest. I think I might let someone take a photo of me in it, to put on the blog, as it is really cool.
I also saw Flynn today. "Hello Flynn"". I am missing you all. Look after one another.
